Thursday, September 09th, 2010 Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time. Friday, February 26th, 2010 After visiting the Austinburg Rehabilitation Center today, I have been asked by Judy's dear friend Karl Koch, a resident there, to express his sorrow, and his deeply felt condolences to Judy's family. Karl has a great affection for her in his memory. Thursday, February 25th, 2010 Accused by the Jews, Paul told the Governor Felix, "I have hope toward God, which hope these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous" (Acts 24:15). For the Jews knew the promise of Isaiah 26:19: "But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy! Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead." And Jesus had promised, "...the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." (John 5:28,29a). During my ministry visits to Judy at the Austinburg Rehabilitation Center, she came to understand these Bible truths, and I know she found hope in them, both for herself and for all those she loved. She was sweet and bright and always smiling, despite her physical limitations. I am sure that she is safe in Jehovah's limitless memory, awaiting that resurrection. But while the future is assured, the present is no less sorrowful, especially for those of us who loved her. For though he knew that he would resurrect him, Jesus wept before he raised Lazarus. I will miss her too, but only for a short while, for the time is at hand. "Rejoice in the hope..." (Romans 12:12).
